Sweet success for British Honey Company with 270% revenue increase
A UK honey producer has today announced that its revenues for the past nine months have increased by 270 per cent.
The British Honey Company saw total revenues from continuing operations increase from approximately £405.4k in the same period last year to £1.5m this year.
The firm said that the jump was largely due to its integration with third party platforms such as Shopify, enhancing its online sales.
It also commented that overseas sales are an “important element” to its growth strategy which have been impacted by the effects of the pandemic, with plans to explore markets in the US and China once restrictions are lifted.
Michael Williams, chief executive of British Honey, commented: “We are delighted with the progress made since the company’s IPO in March and the outlook remains positive.
“Notwithstanding continuing economic uncertainty surrounding the latest Covid-19 restrictions and Brexit, BHC is well placed both commercially and financially to achieve further growth in 2021, building increasing value for our shareholders”.
