American Golf invests six-figure sum in Legends Tour
American Golf invests six-figure sum in Legends Tour Warrington-headquartered American Golf, Europe’s largest golf retailer, has invested a six-figure sum to become the official retail partner of the Legends Tour, the flagship over-50s tournament where amateur golfers play with golfing legends.
With 97 stores across the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, as well as an online retail business, American Golf will utilise its growing range of own brand equipment and apparel, as well as that of its branded suppliers, to provide amateur golfers with interactive experiences at the various events. Attendees will be able to take part in equipment testing, tutorials and interactive challenges alongside golfing greats such as Paul Lawrie and Ian Woosman.
The investment, which includes an official partnership with the ICL Jersey Senior Open, Irish Legends, Staysure PGA Seniors Championship and the Scottish Senior Open will result in global exposure for the brand and reinforces American Golf’s ambitions to make golf accessible and inclusive to all.
Gary Favell, CEO, American Golf, comments: “We’re excited to be a key partner in such an established tour. The Legends Tour fits perfectly with our vision of inclusivity and making golf accessible to all levels and age of player. We have a loyal following of over 50s customers and we’re looking forward to offering them added value and engagement during the many Legends Tour events.”
