Liverpool-based RWinvest joins forces with the global ‘One Tree Planted’ initiative
RWinvest, the leading UK property investment company, has pledged to plant 100 new trees in the Amazon Rainforest for every apartment bought in the forthcoming ‘ELEMENT - The Quarter’ scheme in Liverpool.
The award-winning firm, which specialises in buy to let investments on prominent residential developments, is leading the international sales drive on the project which is being jointly delivered by Nexus Residential and Legacie Developments.
In December, Nexus and Legacie announced that ‘ELEMENT - The Quarter’ would be Liverpool’s first major eco-friendly development.
The 450 apartment scheme will feature low-carbon smart technologies including energy-efficient LED lighting, shower save system, mechanical ventilation heat recovery and solar panels. There will also be a rainwater recycling system, air sourced heat pump and a Central Building Management Server.
RWinvest, working in partnership with Nexus and Legacie, have now teamed up with ‘One Tree Planted’, a non-profit environmental charity which works globally to plant trees to restore forests and protect habitats. The company says the tree planting pledge will further bolster the green credentials of ELEMENT - The Quarter, with Phase 1 set to be completed by Q2 2022.
Michael Gledhill, director at RWinvest, said:
“ELEMENT - The Quarter is set to be the greenest and most environmentally friendly residential development in Liverpool but we wanted to go even further in offsetting our carbon footprint so have partnered with the ‘One Tree Planted’ initiative.
We are proud to commit to planting 100 new trees in the Amazon Rainforest for every apartment bought. This will total 45,000 new trees which not only improves our global environment but helps local communities who rely on the rainforest for many things including food and other materials.
All of us are increasingly conscious of the threat to our natural environment so it is up to all of us to act. ELEMENT - The Quarter is perfect for eco-conscious buyers and those who share our interest in looking after the planet.“
Work on ELEMENT - The Quarter will start in April.
