Success for Stratford firm launched during Covid-19 pandemic
An automotive and engineering specialist in the world of sales, supply chain management and brand support which launched during the Coronavirus pandemic is already seeing huge success.
CRMi Ltd officially launched in Stratford-upon-Avon in September 2020 with support from the start-up team at the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and already the business is looking to expand and take on more clients.
The company, which has more than 45 years of experience with niche automotive clients, offers a bespoke service with connections and understanding of automotive, aerospace and rail, throughout the UK, Europe, USA and Asia Pacific.
It offers technical sales and growth strategy support, buying and sourcing services for companies looking to expand or optimise their manufacturing supply chain and independent STA services – a rapid, specialist resource support for key business functions in the pursuit of growth.
CRMi may have only been trading for a matter of months, but it is already at full capacity with the customers – many of whom are big name brands – and is looking to grow and even take on another employee.
Sam Jeffreys, Business Director for CRMi Ltd, is pleased with the progress in a short space of time but already has plans for expansion.
“CRMi has been two years in the making, with a lot of hard work going into establishing the business before we even launched,” said Sam.
“With two years of careful planning, we have created a firm with a laser focus that can help companies to thrive and we are very much filling a gap in the market place which is why we generated so much interest from the beginning.
“We are already supporting a number of companies of varied scale and we are looking to branch out and take the business forward during 2021.
“The launch of CRMi could not have come at a more pertinent time what with the Coronavirus pandemic and Brexit as our experience can help to navigate this and a lot more.”
Sam, who is an ex-Tata employee, was provided with start-up support from Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, via the CW Business: Start, Grow and Scale Programme, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Warwickshire County Council and the district & borough councils.
He added: “The work with the Chamber could not have been better as it prompted me to look at things differently, try new things to get the business started and provided me with an experienced but impartial sounding board for ideas.
“To begin with I was looking for help with investment in the business, which is why I went to the Chamber in the first place, but I got much more out of it. The help, advice and range of support available was crucial to help launch the business.”
Keely Hancox, Operations Manager at the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “Sam and CRMi are a real success story. We know that starting a business can be challenging, especially in these uncertain times, however Sam at CRMi is a brilliant example of what can be achieved in a short space of time.
“Working closely with Sam, we helped him to make sure that the launch of the business was as smooth as possible and everything was in place to hit the ground running.
“We look forward to seeing the continued success of CRMi and we’d urge individuals who are considering starting a business to get in touch to make the most of the help on offer.”
