North East packaging firm doubles HQ size as demand swells
A North East packaging company has announced that it is moving to larger headquarters as demand increases.
GM Packaging is doubling the size of its headquarters as it relocates from Tyne Tunnel Industrial Estate to a new unit at North Tyneside’s New York Industrial Estate.
The company has already recruited four new members of staff to help deal with the continuing growth of the business, with plans for further job creation going forward.
Graham Montague, managing director, commented: “We’ve seen a significant growth in a relatively short space of time.
“We’ve acquired a considerable amount of new business but also managed to maintain our repeat business which is why we have now had to find bigger premises.”
“We know it has been a very hard year for business generally so we are very grateful that we have been able to continue to grow and bring on board new customers as well as continuing to supply our long-standing ones.
“We needed to move to cope with the level of orders that we are now dealing with on a daily basis and to give us the flexibility we need as we move forward.”
