Hangar 3 at Blackpool Airport teams up with DAM Health UK to launch Covid-19 testing service

Hangar 3, the private flight depot at Blackpool Airport’s and DAM Health Group UK have joined forces to provide private Covid-19 PCR testing.

The new Covid-19 testing facility at Hangar 3 is one of few available testing centres at airports anywhere in the country. It follows an increase in demand for private PCR testing from people travelling between Europe and the UK for work purposes.

Government’s across Europe are advising against international travel but people who do travel are required to secure a negative PCR test result and provide ‘fit to fly’ test certificates upon arrival into most countries.

Covid testing for work or travel related matters is not advised on the NHS.

DAM Health, who also provide protective medical equipment and PCR testing at workplaces, has carried out thousands of tests across the UK and will shortly open a new testing centre in Manchester.

DAM Health director Professor Frank Joseph said:

“Our priority is to provide fast and effective testing facilities to people all over the UK and help to provide them with the necessary documentation to travel or for work purposes. It is vital to stopping the spread of this virus. DAM Health has a major role to play to support people in other countries and we are seeing huge demand from people in Europe. We are pleased to be working with Hangar 3 at Blackpool Airport and continuing our nationwide expansion.”
