TransUnion UK Continues to Support Save the Children as its 2021 Charity Partner
Building on the successful partnership established last year, TransUnion has announced it will continue to support Save the Children as its 2021 charity partner in the UK.
Over the past year, TransUnion colleagues have taken part in a range of activities to raise much needed funds for the charity, which have helped make a real difference, for example delivering a day’s worth of food to 1,000 of the nation’s most needy children.
Colleagues also raised money with donations for taking part in Christmas Jumper Day as well as donating in lieu of cards and celebrations during the festive season. In addition, as a sponsor of Premier League football club, Leeds United, TransUnion was able to support the charity’s Families Connect programme by inviting children from Castleton Primary School of Armley in Leeds to its box for the team’s victory over Huddersfield Town last season. The children, aged from six to 11 years old, also received a behind-the-scenes tour of the Elland Road stadium before the game.
“We’ve developed a really strong partnership with Save the Children, and are proud of what we’ve done despite the challenges that 2020 presented, but we know that there’s more that we can and must do to provide further support in the year ahead,” said Tammy Taylor-Stowe, chief human resources officer at TransUnion in the UK. “Their work plays a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of those who need it most and I’m delighted that we’ll be continuing our fundraising throughout 2021.”
Tammy Hoskins, community fundraising manager at Save the Children said: “We are delighted to be partnering with TransUnion for another year. Save the Children’s work is only possible thanks to the support of partners such as TransUnion and their amazing commitment to making the world a better place for children. Together we can do so much more than acting alone. With TransUnion’s support we’re determined to help every child become who they want to be.”
