Teesside tanker company expands with 10-year lease on new headquarters
A Teesside tanker company has announced that it has expanded as it moves into new headquarters.
mini-TANKERS, which delivers fuel directly into equipment, has moved from its original site on Wilton International to a new larger compound at Wilton Centre near Redcar.
The company has signed on to a 10-year lease, investing £400k on the move and the purchase of two new tankers.
The move has led to the creation of two jobs with extra drivers added to its team.
Peter Tantram, managing director of mini-TANKERS, commented: “It’s great to begin 2021 on the back of this.
“During a difficult time for many businesses, it’s a rare bit of sunshine on a cloudy day.”
“We’ve always had an excellent relationship with the Wilton Centre. The long-term lease has allowed us to make the decision to grow.
“We describe ourselves as a service provider rather than a fuel provider. With our minimum delivery of just 10 litres - what we do is very different.”
Claire Morton, accommodation manager at the Wilton Centre, said: “It’s great to see Peter and his company making such a long-term commitment, particularly in the middle of a pandemic.
“Although we are a science park we are so fortunate to be home to a variety of businesses, not just science related. But what they all seem to have in common are a desire and capability to be innovative - and that’s both exciting and inspiring.”
