Screentech eyes growth despite Covid
Darlington-based Screentech which has been trading for over 30 years and works across the North East, has seen over 20 per cent growth despite the pandemic, has grown its team and invested in additional equipment to continue its success.
The company saw a 21% increase in turnover for December 2020 compared to the same period in 2019 and has recently secured contracts with businesses including Python Properties which has included designing and wrapping the new Boho Zero in Middlesbrough.
Screentech has employed an additional member of staff on an apprenticeship scheme; Josh Davison who has joined as a Lean Manufacturing Assistant. This appointment will support the company’s ability to continue servicing growing demand for its various services including branded workwear, vehicle wraps and signage.
Managing Director, David Robinson said: “We have been able to support individuals and businesses throughout the pandemic with Covid-specific supplies including signage, floor graphics and face masks, as well as working with our growing client base across the North East.
“We’re proud to work with businesses ranging from sole traders, right up to large workwear contracts with companies such as S G Petch – we pride ourselves on quality and consistency, no matter what the customer size.”
At the end of 2020, Screentech invested in an additional four-head embroidery machine due to exponential growth in demand for its embroidery services which include jackets, t-shirts, hoodies and caps. The company also worked with Redcar & Cleveland Council to design, manufacture and install its Covid signage.
David continued: “Our focus at the moment is to continue supporting new and existing customers while also ensuring their safety and that of our staff during the ongoing pandemic.
“Over the next five years we are planning additional investment into the business to continue its growth and this will be achieved through strategic investment as well as growing our team.”
Screentech provides a wide range of services including the design, manufacture and install of signage and vehicle graphics as well as print, embroidery, heat sealing and screen print.
