Teesside scheme set to create up to 4,500 jobs takes shape with riverside office hub

An office location in Tees Valley that is part of a ‘major’ regeneration project is now available for new occupiers.

Workspace development Northshore One is available for new occupiers on the north bank of the River Tees.

Completed in 2015, Northshore One has two wings over three floors, a central atrium and a total floor area of 43,000 sq ft.

The building, which offers views of Roseberry Topping, comprises six individual 5,000 sq ft units as well as an onsite cafe.

Originally the headquarters of Thirteen Housing Group, the building is being marketed by Teesside-based property agent Dodds Brown.

Northshore One was one of the first buildings to be completed in a ‘major’ riverside regeneration project in the area, which was planned to deliver office, retail and leisure space as well as housing, creating up to 4,500 jobs.

Richard Wilson, Dodd Brown’s senior associate, commented: “This really is a fabulous opportunity,” said Richard Wilson, Dodd Brown’s senior associate. “When we return to working together in an office, the expectations of both employers and employees will rightly be extremely high.

“There needs, for example, to be the appropriate amount of space, flexibility and good ventilation in a fit-for-purpose modern office building - and Northshore One meets all of those requirements.”

“Claims that COVID will cause the demise of the office are way off the mark. You just have to look across the river to the Centre Square development in Middlesbrough where four major employers have just signed long-term leases.”
