Yorkshire pest control group acquires French supplier as part of international growth strategy

A Yorkshire pest control business has acquired a French supplier as part of its ongoing international growth strategy.

Pelsis Group, which is headquartered in Knaresborough, has acquired Edialux France along with all of its customers and suppliers.

Edialux, which is based near Lyon, has a turnover of €16m and employs 36 people.

The deal means that Pelsis Group now employs over 500 people on 15 sites across the globe and has an annual turnover of around £150m.

The acquisition of Edialux follows on from Pelsis Group’s 2018 acquisition of US based pest control brand Curtis & Gilmour.

Andrew Milner, chief executive of Pelsis said: “Due to the ongoing growth opportunities and the clear benefits of working together, we have decided now is the right time to fully align our businesses, enabling us to provide our customers with enhanced levels of product innovation, service, and support.”

“This acquisition creates an organisation even better able to help our customers grow market share and to benefit from long-term profitable partnerships.”

Serge Simon, managing director of Edialux France, said: “Pelsis Group is a business with a clear growth strategy that shares our ambitions for further expanding the Edialux brand throughout Europe and the Nordics.”

“We are excited by the opportunities that our new relationship is already creating for our people, customers and suppliers and look forward to fully realising Edialux’s potential as we progress.”
