US law firm drives British expansion with acquisition of London practice
An American law firm has announced that it is expanding into the UK with its acquisition of a London practice.
Armstrong Teasdale, headquartered in St Louis, has acquired London law offices Kerman & Co, taking on its 50 staff.
Kerman & Co, based in The Strand, is the eight new office that Armstrong Teasdale has established over the past two and a half years.
David Braswell, managing partner of Armstrong Teasdale, commented: “We have long served clients around the world, and now we’re in a position to take advantage of tremendous growth opportunities in London.”
Daniel O’Connell, managing partner of Kerman & Co, added: “We are excited about the opportunity to chart a new path for the firm in London, as well as broaden the offerings we can provide to clients internationally.
“As you would imagine, this is not an opportunity taken lightly and it has been carefully considered over a period of time.
“We are very much looking forward to further developing our London office, whilst building a strong bridge into Europe under the Armstrong Teasdale brand.”
