East Midlands housing demand drives property consultancy growth
Gateley Hamer have expanded into Nottingham thanks to an upsurge in demand for new housing stock in the region.
The specialist property consultants are providing expert utilities advice on several East Midlands developments including a site in Clay Cross for St Modwen and several commercial schemes for Clowes Developments. This follows on from providing land assembly and compulsory purchase advice to Local Authorities across the East Midlands, including Leicester, Market Harborough and Peterborough Councils and representing various businesses and developers affected by the High Speed 2 proposals in the region.
Gateley Hamer became a part of legal and professional services group Gateley, almost five years ago. Since then it has grown from one base in Birmingham, to a number of offices across the country to provide clients with access to utilities, compulsory purchase and compensation advice on a national scale.
The Nottingham office was set up early last year by senior associate, Stuart Hastings, who has since been joined by four new staff members specialising in utilities connections, compulsory purchase and land referencing.
Stuart said: “I’m thrilled to see the team grow in response to all the exciting developments in the East Midlands at the moment.
“Gateley Hamer are passionate about continuing to develop the built environment with the support of local councils, communities and businesses. I am confident that we can make a positive impact on the region to help it continue to grow and flourish for many years to come.”
Gateley Hamer provide straight-talking advice to landowners and developers when negotiating with utilities companies to divert, underground or remove utilities apparatus, often at no cost to the developer. They are a trusted adviser to local authorities and developers alike when promoting regeneration, transport and energy projects.
