Plans submitted for Doncaster employment hub set to create up to 4,500 jobs
Plans for a new 2.9 million sq ft employment development in South Yorkshire have been submitted.
Land and property regeneration specialist Harworth Group has submitted an outline planning application to Doncaster Council for a “significant” new employment hub at Bradholme Farm in Thorne.
Proposals for the 257-acre site would see the space transformed into a new employment hub for the region, creating up to 4,500 new jobs and providing around £252m of GVA per annum.
Peter Henry, regional director at Harworth, commented: “The employment proposal for Bradholme Farm is one of a number of sites being considered by Doncaster Council and the Local Plan Inspector as part of the preparation of its new Local Plan.
“We consider this site to be one of the most sustainable and well connected sites in this part of Doncaster, which would bring important regeneration benefits for Thorne. We have also ensured that our application addresses the planning issues raised by the Planning Inspector at the recent Local Plan Examination.
“New industrial and warehousing development in this location will attract major investment into Doncaster.”
