NG on the move as new office signals major ambition for year ahead
Commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors are starting 2021 with a move to a new headquarters building, signalling the firm’s ambitions for the year ahead.
The company is moving from its Loughborough Road offices, which have been its home for the last seven years, to new premises at Wheatcroft Business Park in Edwalton.
For NG Managing Director Richard Sutton, the move is the next step in the growth of the company, and one, in his own words, he couldn’t turn down.
Richard said: “I think we all agree 2020 was a bloody difficult year, but the NG team have been amazing; our investment in technology and talent has helped us get into 2021 in a strong position and we are really looking forward to seeing what 2021 brings.
“The move to Wheatcroft is the final piece in the jigsaw for us. We targeted the location as being ideal a few years ago and missed out on taking space there a few times but we are nothing if not tenacious! The deal was off-market, as the best ones often are, and we are going into a fantastic space on a really strong business park, and whilst some might question the wisdom of moving in the pandemic we couldn’t turn down this opportunity.”
Richard paid tribute to the attitude and skills of his staff during the last 12 months.
He added: “Our team is working with some brilliant clients on some really exciting projects and we have created such a strong team dynamic it’s now only right that we move to an environment where we can really push forward. It’s great to go into 2021 with this fresh start and fresh motivation.”
Richard also pointed to a group of professionals which helped NG seal the office move.
He said: “We have a whole range of people and firms to thank for making this happen. I’m personally thankful to Giles Davies at Geo Hallam, the agent to the landlords who never gave up on us and kept the deal confidential.
“We are also very pleased to be the noisy neighbours to Dominic Walsh at Prominent Europe, while I’d like to also thank Paul Hinchcliffe at Nelsons Solicitors for his hard work in knitting all the legal elements of the deal together.
“To Amy Revel at Absolute Interiors - you have blown us away with the style and design; we now have the office we always wanted.
Thomas Hare at Absolute Interiors has been the man on the ground who with his team made it all happen, while Joe Burns at Reformed IT is our IT/tech guru and has kept us bang up-to-date and cyber secure.
“Carve Design and Marketing are always there to show us and our projects in the best light, and last, but certainly not least: Paul Tugby of City and County Signs, who has made sure everyone knows where we have gone to!”
