Rangers Partner with 1A Naismith to Deliver Energy Efficiency
1A Naismith, a Glasgow-based provider of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for domestic and commercial properties in Scotland, has partnered with Rangers FC Business Club to help customers meet their legal obligations when it comes to energy efficiency.
As any property letting agent, Rics surveyor, insulation installer, general builder or developer will know, it is a legal requirement to have an up to date EPC for any property available to buy or let.
1A Naismith has partnered with Rangers as a member of their Business Club programme to share their experience with fans who are in need of a reliable, cost effective, EPC provider.
Houses in the UK are among the oldest and least energy-efficient in Europe, with more than half of properties in Scotland having been built before the 1965 Building Regulations introduced the first thermal insulation requirements. Estimates suggest that energy use from domestic properties accounts for around 14% of total UK greenhouse gas emissions and that in order to meet the Scottish government’s statutory net-zero emissions target by 2045, it will be necessary to shrink average household heating emissions by 95%.
With retrofitting of thermal insulation experiencing a boom over recent years thanks to government subsidies, there has never been a greater need to ensure the work is being completed efficiently.
Business owner, Ian Naismith, is the first person in Scotland to be registered with Trustmark as a retrofit coordinator, and can provide vital guidance and certification for insulation installers and homeowners, as well as builders and letting agents.
1A Naismith join a host of other like-minded businesses in the Glasgow area aiming for growth by partnering with Rangers as part of the Business Club programme which is managed for the club by Eleven Sports Media.
Ian commented “I’m a lifelong fan of this great institution that is Rangers Football Club, however, the decision to partner with the club and Eleven Sports Media was really down to the opportunity it affords our business to reach out to the local property industry, at all its many different levels.
“There is a broad range of customers who have a need for a reliable EPC provider and football is a great unifier, bringing many different people together, who I hope to be able to reach through the Business Club programme.”
As well as having access to future business events, 1A Naismith will see their message delivered via Eleven Sports Media’s wide reaching digital platforms, including live social media channels targeting fans throughout each matchday and beyond.
Jordan Wilson, Head of Commercial at Eleven Sports Media commented “The Rangers Business Club is all about bringing local companies together, giving them a platform through which they can work together, as well as offering helping fans to understand more about the services we offer. We’re delighted that 1A Naismith has joined the programme and we look forward to supporting them with their ambitions to help those in the property industry to meet their legal energy performance requirements in an efficient and cost effective manner.”
