Anwyl Partnerships acquire prime Cheadle Hulme site

Anwyl Partnerships, specialists in the provision of residential land and build developments, has acquired the former garden centre at the junction of Ladybridge Road/ Mill Lane in Cheadle Hulme, with plans to create a retirement living development, comprising up to 70 homes.

The professional consultant team led by Mosaic Town Planning, has already begun the consultation process with the local community regarding the re-development of this brownfield site. Anwyl Partnerships are inviting comments on the draft proposals over the next four-week period beginning from 22nd February 2021.

The proposal will be designed to facilitate independent living, with optional care and support provision, in an attractive environment. Additional facilities are likely to include an onsite bistro, café, and activity and function rooms, all of which could be made accessible to the general public. Once delivered, all of the apartments will be affordable and prioritised for local people.

Sam Oliver, Senior Land Manager at Anwyl Partnerships explained: “We have a rich history in delivering later living and healthcare developments, and have identified a clear need for this type of housing within Stockport.

“The local community will recognise the issues this site has posed for over a decade and I look forward to personally engaging with local people to help shape an exciting vision for the planned redevelopment.”

Anwyl Partnerships has amassed a wealth of experience in the extra care and retirement living sector having recently handed over 534 apartments with a further 420 apartments in the pipeline across the North West and North Wales.
