Multi-million pound ‘luxury’ apartment scheme launches near York Minster

A new multi-million pound residential development near York’s historic city centre has officially opened.

Built by Tolent on behalf of Leeds developer Modernistiq, Icona 1 is set to welcome its first residents over the coming weeks.

Comprising four storeys, the £4.1m scheme features 32 one and two-bedroom apartments and a private roof terrace for residents with views looking out to York Minster.

The development is already 50 per cent sold as the team look forward to opening the show flat later in the summer.

John Currie, regional director for Tolent, commented: “This project is another fantastic addition to our portfolio and the team can be really proud that they have delivered another quality project.

“Tolent is an expert in the residential sector, having completed over £1bn of work spanning large-scale housing regeneration projects to high-rise apartment blocks across the country.”

Lucinda Black, head of design and sales at Modernistiq, added: “It has been fantastic working alongside Tolent on this scheme, the whole process was flawless from start to finish. We look forward to the next chapter in the Modernistiq/Tolent adventure.”
