Storage and distribution firm to create 75 Yorkshire jobs with latest acquisitions

A storage and distribution company has announced that it has created 75 jobs with the acquisition of two Yorkshire sites.

Carlton Forest 3PL has acquired two new units in Doncaster in its first foray into South Yorkshire.

The units, one of 95,000 sq ft and one of 122,000 sq ft, will create 25 long term jobs, as well as 50 short term jobs.

The acquisitions have taken the company’s overall capacity to over 800,000 sq ft of racked and bulk storage.

The units are part of a wider site previously occupied by DHL and were secured through a deal with Commercial Property Partners (CPP) who are agents for the site.

Adam Jones, managing director, commented: “This is a great start to 2021 for the Carlton Forest team and investing in South Yorkshire is a very positive thing for us and the wider business region and economy.

“Doncaster and the surrounding area is becoming a logistics hub and as the i-port continues to grow, and hopefully the Freeport and ongoing inward investment continues, we and other logistics providers will be well placed to support the prosperity that the region is enjoying.”
