Movac plans for the future with new strategic appointment
ACIS member Movac Group Limited is futureproofing its business with the senior appointment of Keith Parvin as Automotive Division director. His expansive role includes responsibility for continuing to align the business to meet market needs and ensure it is customer-centric, to monitor the sales performance of paint and consumables, and expand talent pipeline opportunities to ensure effective succession planning.
Keith is an industry veteran with over 35 years’ experience, starting on the shop floor at 16- years-old as an apprentice painter, before becoming a VDA estimator and running his own bodyshop.
In 2001, Keith worked alongside the Solus Elite team setting up 21 bodyshops across the UK, before being appointed by ACIS Ltd to work alongside ACIS members helping them win new business aligned with ACIS approvals. He then joined Farecla Products Limited, rising up the ranks from southern manager to sales director, before joining US giant X-Rite as national sales manager UK & Ireland, working in colour management for major brands including Marks & Spencer, Kingfisher Group plc, Farrow & Ball and Boots No. 7.
On joining the company, Keith said, “Movac is a very customer and people-focused business and is very ethical. It is extremely important to me that the company has been around for a long time and is always looking ahead to the future with a solid succession plan in place. There is still room in the market for a strong independent group with a diverse customer base and legacy customers.”
Mark Smith, managing director of Movac Group, comments, “Keith’s considerable experience and understanding of both the products and the business environment will ensure we can continually seek out new areas to expand the business while building and developing the team to meet the requirements and challenges that lie ahead. We’re confident his knowledge and expertise will enable the business to flex and adapt to secure its long-term future.”
