NG joins the culture club with letting of long-vacant Long Row space
Nottingham is set to get a new arts venue after a commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors brokered a deal to find new tenants for long-vacant space in the city centre.
The Hockley Music & Arts Hub is set to open at 14a Long Row. The new venture is an education centre for music, arts and digital culture. It aims to inspire and offer new perspectives on our lives and people around us.
The hub has a number of flexible spaces including classrooms, galleries, cinema, performance and rehearsal spaces and a fully licensed café bar, as well as an ever-changing exciting schedule of courses, screenings, talks, workshops, exhibitions, performance and more.
Vic Hunt, director of the Hockley Music & Arts Hub, said: “After a year of doom and gloom with the arts being hit more so than any other sector we are excited to be bringing a new venture to Nottingham where we can help kick start the creative industry.”
“Charlotte and the team at NG secured us the perfect property and navigated us through the process providing a first-rate service.”
Charlotte Steggles of NG, who acted on behalf of landlord Entain Group, owner of Ladbrokes Coral, said: “This property has been on the market for a considerable amount of years with multiple different agents and no one has managed to sub-let it.
“The Hockley Music & Arts Hub is a welcome addition to the cultural scene in Nottingham and we’ll be watching with close interest their progress. We’re delighted with the outcome for our landlord client and we wish the new tenants every success in their new venture.”
Ryan Fairfield, Asset Manager at Entain Group, owner of Ladbrokes Coral, said: “This former Coral premises has been sitting vacant since we made the operational decision to close the shop in 2017. We brought NG on board in 2020 to breathe life into the marketing and somewhat remarkably they have managed to secure us a new long-term tenant in the middle of a global pandemic. Kudos to Sunny, Charlotte and Ellis for all their hard work and commitment in challenging circumstances - a top team of people.”
