Yorkshire laundry equipment specialist cleans up with seven-figure deal for competitor

A Yorkshire commercial laundry specialist has completed the acquisition of one of its main competitors as part of its growth strategy.

Wolf Laundry, which is headquartered in Barnsley, has completed a deal for Cornwall’s Brewer & Bunney for an undisclosed seven figure sum.

With this acquisition, Wolf hopes to surpass the increasing demand for its equipment and services in South West England.

Joshua Brown, co-founder and joint managing director at Wolf Laundry, said: “This deal consolidates Wolf Laundry’s position as one of the UK’s leading laundry equipment businesses.

“We’ve achieved outstanding organic growth ever since we were founded by consistently providing our customers with the fastest, most reliable service.”

Wolf was snapped up by £1bn Swiss-headquartered Schulthess Machines AG group in 2018, with whom Wolf funded the acquisition of Brewer & Bunney.

Joshua continued: “The acquisition will reinforce our presence across England’s South West and allow us to win an even greater share of the market.”

The acquisition of Brewer & Bunney, which is headquartered in Redruth, Cornwall, has increased the size of its workforce from 45 to 70.

David Hayes, managing director at Brewer & Bunney, added: “Wolf Laundry consistently prioritises its customers’ needs which is a reason for its ongoing success – and the main reason why we decided it was the right company to sell to.”

He continued, “Our acquisition by Wolf Laundry will ensure that our longstanding relationships with clients across many diverse sectors will continue seamlessly.”
