iProov continues global growth with Australian government contract
A London-based biometric tech firm has continued to expand its international presence with a new Australian deal.
iProov has secured a contract with the Australian government to provide a liveness solution for its digital government services platform myGovID.
Founded by Andrew Bud CBE in 2009, iProov originally developed its own secure face verification method using technology already present on mobile devices.
iProov technology is already in use by the Singapore Government for its national digital identity platform SingPass, by the UK Home Office for the EU Settlement Scheme, and by the US Department of Homeland Security for land border crossing.
Andrew Bud, CEO of iProov, commented: “iProov is honoured that the Commonwealth of Australia has entrusted us with such an important task – to secure the creation of digital identities against impersonation.
“We are delighted that the Australian government has chosen our unique combination of inclusivity and resilience, which is already trusted by governments worldwide to authenticate citizens.”
