£18.6m residential development set to bring 65 new homes to County Durham
A North East housebuilder has revealed plans to create a £18.6m residential development following a new land acquisition.
Avant Homes has acquired a piece of land in the County Durham suburb of West Rainton, with plans to create an £18.6m development of 65 new homes.
Groundworks for the development, named Allenson View, will start this month, with showhomes expected to open by the end of the year.
Avant Homes is also committing to a community contribution of more than £342k towards healthcare, education, community, green spaces, and local transport.
Jennifer Tupman, managing director of Avant Homes North East, commented: “West Rainton has become an increasingly sought-after area for a wide range of buyers and following the huge success of our nearby Rainton Green development, which was completed in 2018, we are very pleased to have successfully purchased the land for this new development.
“With its excellent transport links and close-by amenities, we’re expecting Allenson View to be popular with local homebuyers and we’re very much looking forward to launching the first homes this summer.”
