Following in his footsteps, Leeds Harley-Davidson® announce Charity of the year as The Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service
Leeds Harley-Davidson® part of Opus Motor Group, formerly known as Jennings Motor Group, has announced their charity of the year as The Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service. The motor group which operates Stockton Kia as well as Leeds and Gateshead Harley-Davidson® will be following in the footsteps of former Managing Director the late Dr Nas Khan OBE, who was widely recognised for his charitable efforts throughout the North East as well as Pakistan.
Sohail Khan, Managing Director of Opus Motor Group, commented “We are thrilled to be working with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance again this year, this charity is incredibly close to our hearts as well as our customers, friends and colleagues. The Covid-19 has had a detrimental impact on all businesses and charities, but the YAA rely solely on donations to keep the aircraft flying, which is why we are dedicated to helping to raise as much as we possibly can to help”.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a registered charity operating a dedicated helicopter emergency air ambulance for the Yorkshire and Humber region of England, and currently operates two Airbus H145 aircraft. It is an independent charity that relies solely on the donations of individuals and organisations.
Vickie Bowden, West Yorkshire Regional Fundraiser at YAA said: “We’re delighted to have been chosen as Leeds Harley Davidson charity of the year. Support from local businesses are vital to Yorkshire Air Ambulance in providing much needed awareness and funds. We’re looking forward to working to working together over the coming year”.
We are very much looking forward to working with YAA with fundraising activities and events continuing throughout the year at Leeds Harley-Davidson® and as lockdown restrictions lift, extending to wider community involvement.
