Liverpool’s DAM Health takes Covid-19 testing to the High Street with testing ‘shops’

Liverpool-based private healthcare group, DAM Health, say Covid-19 testing ‘shops’ could soon become a prominent feature on the British high street as they open two new walk-in sites in London this week.

DAM Health says testing is now a “way of life” as it opens the new Covid-19 testing shops in Fulham and Mayfair ahead of an expected surge in demand for ‘fit to fly’ certificates this summer.

The company, which operates 11 clinics nationwide, opened its first testing centre in Liverpool in December.

The medical firm is now planning to open the testing shops to make it “quick and easy” for people to get tested regularly “without fuss”.

“Testing is now a way of life. Our walk-in testing shops make it quick and easy for people to get tested without any fuss,” says Professor Joseph, director of DAM Health.

“A negative test result will be essential before travelling overseas this summer and that’s why we’re investing in our new sites in London. We launched DAM’s testing shops in Fulham and Mayfair this week which have followed our existing clinic in the City of London. We have plans for even more across the UK.

“Even with the vaccine, which only reduces the risk of people getting severe illness, we will need negative tests before travelling overseas for holidays, work and for gatherings long into the future.

“Covid-19 will never go away and the fight against it is a real team effort with the private sector playing a very important role. We are providing a service that people need.”
