"Major" expansion for Yorkshire brownie brand as plans revealed for 10 new stores
A Yorkshire brownie specialist has announced a “major” expansion which will see it open ten new stores this year.
Love Brownies, founded in Ilkley, has revealed plans to almost double in size over the next ten months, going from 12 brownie shops to 22.
The company, which also sells the brownies online and in cafes across the country, has store openings planned every month for the rest of 2021.
It currently employs around 70 people, and the new locations could create dozens more jobs.
Chantal Teal, Love Brownies’ head baker and owner, commented: “We’re delighted to have reached the milestone of our twelfth UK opening and are so excited to bring the Love Brownies brand to more communities.
“We’ve always been passionate about keeping high streets alive and it’s great to be able to create jobs at a time when things are so difficult for so many people.
“We have an ambitious schedule of openings across the UK and look forward to opening our Bristol shop and café in May.”
