Arcus Global appoints new sales director

Arcus Global, specialist cloud solutions provider for the public sector, has hired Paul Langridge as sales director.

In his role, Langridge will be responsible for the local government team, establishing and enacting a strategy to propel Arcus Global towards its growth goals by identifying new market opportunities and defining the actions required to take advantage of them.

Using his extensive knowledge of local government operations and back-office processes, Langridge will engage with local government teams to understand their digital transformation strategies and fine-tune Arcus Global’s value proposition in response to a national move towards a unitary authority structure, which will consolidate councils. Ultimately, helping current and future customers transition from doing digital- having digital elements in the process, but not being bought in wholesale, might be using digital forms and gathering data in silos with elements of manual process still required - to being digital, having a truly digital cloud solution where everything is integrated and acting as a single source of truth for users.

Langridge comments: “I’m very excited about this opportunity to meet the challenges of the evolving local government environment, being involved in the process from end-to-end. I want Arcus Global to be in the position where customers understand our offering, understand our values and what they mean, and see us as the go-to partner of choice. Our main strategic driver is the upcoming reforms in the structure of local government, and our goal is to be the right choice to assist our customers with the infrastructure to thrive in that new environment.”

Having operated in the local government arena for two decades, Langridge will be driving forward Arcus’s growing reputation as a leading provider of business applications for local government to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Nick Howes, CEO of Arcus Global comments: “We are delighted to have Paul on Board. It shows our continuing commitment to drive local government digital transformation. Paul’s blend of commercial experience coupled with his knowledge of local government back and front office is invaluable in supporting our growth. The strategies he develops will help us to become more proactive in the market. I welcome Paul’s knowledge and experience, which will enable our customers to truly and quickly move to a comprehensive basis for digital transformation. He will make a huge contribution and spearhead our vision for the future.”

Langridge adds, “The agenda, led by a surge in remote working and the need for digital services, is enabling councils to be more data-driven than ever. We should all be helping to facilitate this move and accelerate the transformation. We should be customer-centric, and by extension, citizen-centric. In this role, it’s not about what I can do for Arcus; it is about what I can do for local authority customers and for their citizens, who are now using technology to engage with them.”
