The new Sky store at Trinity Leeds.

Sky launches largest physical store to date in Leeds as part of "bricks and mortar" strategy

A UK media company has today announced that it is opening up its largest shop to date in the centre of Leeds.

Sky, which is headquartered in London, is opening a new permanent shop at Trinity Leeds, a retail and leisure venue owned by Landsec.

The new store is part of Sky’s ongoing strategy to move into bricks and mortar retail, which will allow customers to speak with advisors face-to-face.

It is Sky’s largest physical shop to date, covering 3,040 sq ft, and is its first in the region.

Matthew Price, retail director of Sky UK, commented: “Sky has a long and positive history with Leeds.

“With our major technology hub just around the corner at Leeds Dock, it made sense to open our largest Sky shop yet in the heart of the city.

“Throw in the city’s growing and diverse population, and it was a no-brainer to build our retail presence here.

“The space at Trinity is the best place to showcase everything Sky can do, and we are delighted to have opened this experiential shop to new and existing customers.”

David Maddison, centre director at Trinity Leeds, said: “Trinity Leeds is still very much in demand when it comes to bricks and mortar stores and we’re excited to welcome Sky on board, offering an interactive customer experience and expert advice.”
