Botanist owner fires up for new venue launch at Sheffield’s Heart of the City scheme
The parent company of bar brand The Botanist has announced the name of its newest venue in a growing South Yorkshire development.
New World Trading Company has unveiled plans for its second site in Sheffield as part of the Heart of the City project.
Named The Furnace in honour of the city’s industrial past, the bar will be situated near HSBC and CMS’s new office development within the regeneration site.
Liam Wood, head of recruitment at The Furnace, commented: “Sheffield is famous for being an industrious city, so we’re excited to meet the hard-working local staff as we open up applications to join The Furnace family.”
Andrew Davison, project director at Queensberry, added: “New World Trading Company is one of the most impressive bar operators in the UK and we are hugely excited to see them open as part of Heart of the City and help enhance the city centre’s food & drink scene.
“The original and Sheffield-influenced brand is a clear reflection of the confidence the operator has in Sheffield City Centre as a destination and the work that is currently taking place on the scheme.”
