Nuchido placed in top 200
THE North East company behind a ground-breaking anti-ageing supplement has been named one of the Top 200 Female-Powered Businesses in the UK in a nationwide report.
Dissington-based Nuchido Laboratories – led by biologist Dr Nichola Conlon – is one of just a handful of businesses from the region featured in the report commissioned by J.P. Morgan Private Bank, in partnership with data company Beauhurst.
The report showcases “exceptional and innovative’ private UK businesses that are founded, led or managed by women and have grown sales, headcount or valuation at extraordinary rates.”
Believed to be the first report of its kind, its aim is to “help tackle systemic challenges and enable the continued success of women entrepreneurs, female founders and businesses powered by women.”
Dr Conlon and her team of world-renowned biologists are tackling ageing at a cellular level, to enable people to remain as healthy as possible for as long as possible.
They have led research into the way in which human cells alter over time and believe one particular molecule could influence the way in which people age.
The molecule, NAD+, is found within every living cell of the body and it diminishes with age, leaving people susceptible to a wide range of conditions from muscle weakness and loss of stamina to poor sleep quality.
Not only has Nuchido developed a supplement which raises NAD+ levels, by around 242 per cent, but it has successfully launched the supplement, Nuchido TIME+, with customers in more than 50 countries around the world.
Dr Conlon said she was “delighted” Nuchido Laboratories had been included in J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s Top 200 Female-Powered Businesses in the UK report.
“As more female leaders emerge in the scientific field, to have been singled out is really quite an honour,” she said.
This recognition comes just weeks after Dr Conlon was named one of IWD’s most inspirational female founders and one of UK Tech’s coolest female founders for 2021.
