Pancake restaurant to bring taste of California to second London site
A pancake restaurant business is set to open its second site in Fitzrovia next month.
Where the pancakes are has announced the launch of its newest venue on Charlotte Street in Fitzrovia in early June.
Situated at the former site of Pizza Express restaurant, the venue will cover 2,200 sq ft over two floors, as well as an outdoor terrace.
Inspired by founder Patricia Trijbits’ years in California, the restaurant - which will be sister to the first brick-and-mortar site at Flat iron Square - will specialise in its signature all-day buttermilk pancakes as well as small bites and sharing boards.
Patricia Trijbits commented: “I don’t think there are many dishes that rival pancakes in that they create such profound memories.
“Plus, for such a humble and simple dish, they connect people across continents and across generations. That’s pretty awesome in itself.”
