Aisha Suleiman, IPG Mediabrands

IPG Mediabrands and Kinesso have announced the appointment of Aisha Suleiman as the network’s first head of diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) for the EMEA region.

In this newly created role, Aisha will oversee the agency network’s efforts in DE&I strategy, planning and execution, holding local leadership accountable to the global network’s diversity commitments and goals, and fostering more collaboration and connection across the region.

Aisha joins with a wealth of experience in developing programs that drive positive change and improve opportunities for all, most recently as chair and executive board lead of the Amazon Black Employee Network.

She is also the founder of The Inclusive Culture, an inclusion board member for the Rugby Football League and the founder of The World in Her Words.

Denis Petropoulos, LISW21

LISW21 has announced that it has appointed Denis Petropoulos as vice chair of its board of advisors.

Denis, who is chairman of the Baltic Exchange, will also take over from Lord Mountevans as chair of the BOA in 2023.

He said: “I am delighted to have been asked to succeed Lord Mountevans as BOA chair.

“LISW has proved itself to be a key international industry event and its contribution to blue sky thinking in the global shipping industry, post-COVID, will be brought into even sharper focus this September when we all meet.

“I will strive hard to continue the excellent work carried out by Lord Mountevans and I look forward to working with my colleagues on the BOA as we bring LISW21 to fruition and start work on LISW23.”

Kayode Ijaola, TabMo

Mobile company TabMo has appointed announced the appointment of Kayode Ijaola as its head of platform operations.

Kayode will be responsible for overseeing all campaigns that run through demand side platform Hawk, ensuring they operate at an optimal level.

He joins from programmatic media operator MiQ where he was group trader manager, and prior to that he was responsible for the delivery and performance of programmatic campaigns for clients at digital accelerator Beamly.

“From the outset of the interview process it was clear that Kayode was the ideal fit; he has the technical knowledge and experience, combined with a mature and measured outlook that is vital for making the considered business decisions required to help shape both the team and the company as we roll out our future-facing plans.”

Angela Batchelor, Anne Kavanaugh and Shivi Nathan, Irwin Mitchell

Irwin Mitchell in London has promoted three of its lawyers to partner and 15 to associate and senior associate roles.

The new partners are Angela Batchelor (Serious Injury), Anne Kavanagh and Shivi Nathan (Medical Negligence).

There have also been nine senior associate promotions and six colleagues promoted to associate across the legal services teams.

Martin Hawkes, Foodhub

Takeaway delivery platforms Foodhub has announced the appointment of Martin Hawkes as its new chief revenue officer,

Martin, who brings over 25 years of sales experience to the team, will oversee field sales, telesales and marketing on a global scale.

He was previously vice president of sales for MICROS, then moving on to work with private equity company Better Capital.

Martin said: “When you look across the board at the different takeaway aggregator apps, Foodhub is an organisation in the right space at the right time to make real change in the industry.

“Having the opportunity to help shape such a fast-growing organisation at a key time in its development is what really attracted me to the role.

“What we’re doing is creating a commercial model that is completely unique on this scale; one which has the potential to completely change the market as we know it. I’m excited to see where the next 12 months takes us.”
