£40m student accommodation development set to begin in Leeds

Work on a new multi-million pound residential scheme is set to commence in Leeds.

Pickard Properties has committed to begin the demolition of an existing 20-year-old 239-bed student scheme on Carlton Hill in Leeds.

The existing site will be replaced with a sustainable new purpose-built student scheme, comprising 604 beds over 15 floors.

The new £40m scheme, will be leased by Unipol and will house students exclusively nominated by the University of Leeds

Director of Pickard Properties, Miles Pickard, commented: “We recognise that there has been a huge change to students’ needs, and therefore a considerable amount of thought has been given to the design, social circulation and interaction for the wellbeing of students.

“We are really looking forward to developing Carlton Hill for the students of Leeds to enjoy this modern, cutting-edge addition to the accommodation available to them in the city.”
