Beyond Identity Expands in Europe

Passwordless identity management provider  Beyond Identity has announced that it has expanded into Europe with new hires to its sales, marketing and engineering team as well as a new Frankfurt data centre.

Founded by Netscape Co-Founder Jim Clark and his long time collaborator Tom (TJ) Jermoluk, Beyond Identity is looking to totally eliminate the password and replace them with asymmetric cryptography.

As part of its expansion plans, the company will look to increase its headcount in the region and grow to more than 30 employees by the end of 2021. It has also announced plans to open a London office in Q3 2021 as well as a new Frankfurt data centre.

The announcement follows Beyond Identity’s $105 million funding to date. Most recently, Beyond Identity announced integrations with Auth0, Okta, ForgeRock, and Ping Identity, allowing organisations to increase security for their workforces and its customers.

“There are a plethora of companies that use the ‘passwordless’ phrase incorrectly. These companies are applying ‘band-aids’ to passwords, but not eliminating them. Because they don’t solve the root issue, the risk of account takeover or ransomware remains.
