Locals urged to apply as recruitment drive underway for Teesworks development

North East construction specialists are being urged to take up new opportunities within a major regeneration scheme at a former steelworks site.

Construction programme managers are being recruited to help coordinate the delivery of key projects and activity as part of the Teesworks Regeneration Programme.

Demolition and land remediation projects are currently underway to clear 2,300 acres of development land within the 4,500-acre brownfield site.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen commented: “My plan for jobs has already created over 500 skilled, well paid jobs on the Teesworks site and these new programme manager roles are opening up even more opportunities to keep local talent working at home.

“We have some great people on Teesside who are no doubt travelling around the UK to find good-quality managerial opportunities within the construction sector.

“I want to keep talented local people working close to home and near their families and that’s just what these jobs will do.”
