Vegan concept to launch debut restaurant at Camden’s Buck Street Market
A Brighton-based vegan brand has chosen a new eco-conscious London market as the location for its debut restaurant.
Plant-based concept Clean Kitchen is set to launch its first sit-down restaurant offering in Buck Street Market in Camden next month.
Spanning two floors within Buck Street Market’s shipping containers, Clean Kitchen Camden is set to open to the public this June, with space for up to 42 dining covers upstairs and 12 downstairs.
Originally a delivery-only kitchen in Brighton, Clean Kitchen currently operates six dark kitchens across London and the South of England as well as two outlets at Boxpark Wembley and Boxpark Shoreditch.
Verity Bowditch, co-founder of Clean Kitchen, commented: “We were very selective when choosing where to launch our debut restaurant, and with sustainability at the forefront of Clean Kitchen, Buck Street Market provides the perfect location within which to grow our brand.
“The destination itself embraces sustainability like no other and aligns seamlessly with our goals to become an entirely carbon neutral company, as well as our initiative to implement the UK’s first re-usable delivery system to support our zero-waste packaging strategy.
“We can’t wait to open at Buck Street Market come June, and deliver everything Clean Kitchen is about to a brand new, sustainably-minded audience.”
Dominic Sergeant, asset manager for LabTech - the owner of Buck Street Market - added: “Buck Street Market has been founded on the ethos of sustainability, which Clean Kitchen complements perfectly; from their plant-based food to their eco-friendly use of packaging and zero-waste strategy.
“This is the ideal location to launch Clean Kitchen’s debut restaurant site, so we are confident that the brand will continue to build on their impressive success, and be a hit with Buck Street Market’s conscious consumers.”
