Cantium Business Solutions appoints Commercial Director to spearhead growth

Cantium Business Solutions, a specialist provider of HR, IT and Finance solutions, has hired Mark Cobb as Commercial Director.

In his role, Cobb will be responsible for leading commercial strategy and identifying new opportunities in emerging markets, as well as driving Cantium’s continued success across the education, healthcare and local government sectors.

Using his extensive knowledge of both public and private sector digital transformation, Cobb will be defining Cantium’s proposition in line with the evolving needs of its key markets and developing a customer-centric culture that enables the organisation to widen its offering.

Cobb comments: “As a LatCo, Cantium sits in a really unique position of being able to offer professional services with an intimate insight into the challenges that the public sector faces. This gives public sector organisations the opportunity to invest in innovation and drive efficiency, whilst giving back to the public purse, and I’m keen to drive that benefit forward.”

Cobb joins Cantium with more than 15 years of experience, having previously provided technical leadership across Kent County Council and Essex County Council, where he led the introduction of a number of Transformation initiatives to the Council’s users. More recently, Cobb worked for CGI where he was responsible for directing operations and sales across the South East Region in healthcare, local government, manufacturing, and retail sectors.

Mark Scott, CEO of Cantium Business Solutions comments: “Given Mark’s extensive hands-on experience across the private and public sectors, he is the ideal person to be joining us as we look to enter the next stage of expansion. He will be an important part of our continuing growth story and play a crucial role in identifying new opportunities, laying the foundations for commercial success.”

Cobb adds, “With the onset of wide scale cloud adoption, the market has changed considerably, and organisations are generally moving away from large, outsourced IT contracts. Instead favouring smaller projects that allow them to harness the expertise, agility, and innovation that smaller partners have to offer. With a clear sense of client service and a growing offering, this presents many opportunities. I believe Cantium is well positioned to deliver and be adaptable to the needs of our current and future customers, helping them to navigate emerging propositions and ultimately focus on delivering the best possible service to the citizens they serve.”
