Independent Gym opens on The Downs, Altrincham
New health, fitness and wellness studios have just opened at 14 The Downs, one of Altrincham’s most popular town centre locations.
Project You, has taken the ground and first floor unit comprising 1,800 sq ft on a five year lease.
Hannah Norburn, owner, who has been a Personal Trainer & Lifestyle Coach in Cheshire for six years decided after a year of miserable lockdowns that now was the best time to create the studios.
She said: “This is the ideal location for my mission to create a friendly & welcoming facility for everyone looking to prioritise their health & fitness in the heart of the town. This past year has obviously been a strange one and I haven’t spoken to one person who hasn’t experienced a downturn in their wellbeing so I want to do everything I can to help.
“I have always said the best project you will ever work on is yourself so my mission is to help everyone who walks through the doors to find and restore their health, happiness and confidence.”
The Project You team offers include 1:1 & small group personal training in the gym, small group classes in the two contrasting FIT & ZEN studios including Bootcamp, Yoga, Ass & Abs, Pilates & Box & Burn plus virtual classes, wellness events & workshops coming very soon.
Daniel Lee, managing director, Regional Property Solutions, who let the unit on behalf of the landlord E A Properties, said: “The unit was only on the market for a week with multiple viewings and the letting was agreed and completed very quickly.
“The last year and its lockdowns appears to have galvanised people to take the step and start up their own businesses and with a more hopeful outlook and a focused approach they don’t hang around. Altrincham has attracted 15 new high street businesses since the start of the second lockdown in November. We wish them well”.
