IoD launches search for Berkshire chair as Raj Singh steps down
The Institute of Directors (IoD) is seeking a new chair to become the voice of directors in Berkshire.
The role is being vacated by Raj Singh, who is stepping down upon completion of his three-year term. The voluntary position is open to all members who live or work in Berkshire.
The successful candidate will work alongside an active branch team to help directors build back better from the pandemic. The IoD creates connections, delivers world-class professional development and influences decision-makers at the highest levels.
The Institute has secured vital support for directors during the Covid-19 pandemic, including financial assistance for wage bills and changes to insolvency rules.
Faisal Khan, chair, IoD South region, said: “Raj works tirelessly on behalf of Berkshire directors and has been generous with his time and business experience. Through his efforts, we are inspiring members to develop, promote and demonstrate high standards of corporate governance.
“This is an exciting time for the IoD as it enters a new chapter in its long and esteemed history. We have a new value and member proposition which remains true to our core belief that better directors build a better world.
“Our new chair will represent our local directors and be passionate about this dynamic and diverse area, working alongside the branch ambassadors to drive IoD membership.”
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record in board or equivalent roles, with established business interests and a strong network of contacts within Berkshire.
