Bournemouth-based Mum and Whole Life Coach Says It's OK to Feel Different as Business Leader and Visionary Founder
***“Visionaries Can Change the World!” ***
Bournemouth-based Business Leader, Whole Life Coach and all-round Visionary, Lisa Mitchell, who is on a mission to help Visionary Founders to activate their biggest visions and change the world, is celebrating as she continues to make waves this summer.
From a place of vast corporate and entrepreneurial experience and a life pivot as the result of some challenging personal circumstances; a long distance move, career change, marriage break down and ill health as the result of total exhaustion; Lisa is passionate about seeing people living and working holistically to create freedom, expansion, and abundance in every aspect of their lives and her recent podcast is an extension of that.
Lisa is the walking, talking inspiration for Visionary Founders, passionate about her whole life, holistic approach, as a direct result of struggling through the formative years of her life and career, in what she describes as a ‘disconnected reality.’ As a workaholic, party girl in her 20s and 30s, Lisa found herself engaging in increasingly risk-taking behaviours, desperate to find her niche, and more importantly herself. Lisa continues; “I felt disconnected from everyone else from an early age… people seemed to be following some kind of rulebook and I just didn’t understand the rules. I did well at school and threw myself into work, believing that in doing so, I would please my boss, my family, partners, even my friends at the time, and that somehow things would just fall into place, but it just wasn’t working.I was desperately unhappy so, I took a leap of faith.”
Following her last corporate role with supermarket giant, Sainsburys, Lisa left her high-flying marketing job and moved down to the south coast. She took on a role with a coaching consultancy, something she felt she had a real affinity with, but as much as the working side of life delighted her, Lisa’s personal life was still out of balance. In the last 10 years Lisa has experienced some of the most stressful things life can throw at a person; she got married and recently divorced, both parents passed away, she had a miscarriage and a baby. Through all of this, Lisa has been able to hold a bigger sense of potential in it all. “These experiences are not unique tome,” says Lisa. “None of us come through life unscathed, but I believe we can learn so much about ourselves in the process and when we acknowledge the complexity of who we are, what truly makes us content and where our passions lie, we have a powerful centre from which to succeed!”
Lisa said; “We cannot separate out any single part of life and deal with it in isolation to everything else. We’re whole beings, past, present and future. We’re both wonderful and complex, resilient and vulnerable. I absolutely love working with people to release the very best of who they are, which automatically gives wings to the dreams and visions they have. I’ve worked with entrepreneurs in the top 10% of their industries, the mavericks, who feel different, to let them know different is OK! You’re leading into the future, you’re changing the world!”
Her recently launched Visionary Founders Podcast shot up the business podcast charts and landed alongside some big hitters such as; BBC Radio 4 Money Box, Jacko Podcast and Bright Network Thinking Commercially… Since launching, Lisa’s podcast got to the top 10 in the UK entrepreneurs chart on launch, has been listened to in 23 countries and has been rated 5 starson Apple podcasts preview and iTunes. One reviewer said: “When you listen to Lisa’s podcast, the passion for her subject and her desire to help others put themselves out there is palpable! With real life examples of what she is telling us, and how she has mastered her challenges, you come away thinking that anything is possible!”
Lisa’s own experience drives her to raise people’s expectations for their own lives, empowering them to lead connected, happy and fulfilled lives, doing what they love and not settling for less than their best in work, relationships, physical, emotional and mental health.
