Yorkshire recruitment agency branches out with new Gateshead office
A Yorkshire recruitment agency has announced that it is expanding its presence in the North with a new North East office.
The Recruitment Crowd (TRC), based in Leeds, has revealed that it will be opening a new office in Gateshead as part of an expansion drive.
The company, which is also opening a new office in Manchester, is aiming to have a presence in eight locations across the country and quadruple its staffing levels, creating 75 jobs across the next five years.
This comes after the company secured a £250k loan from NPIF – Mercia Debt Finance earlier this year, which it is using to meet growing demand and has already helped the firm create nine jobs at its Leeds office.
Ashley Vaines, director of TRC, commented: “The pandemic had a serious impact on our business as sectors such as hospitality closed down altogether or put recruitment plans on hold.
“However activity is bouncing back and the shift in the economy has presented new opportunities across the country.
“The NPIF funding has allowed us to capitalise on areas of increased demand and put our growth plans into action.”
Gary Whitaker of Mercia added: “TRC achieved excellent growth in recent years and despite a temporary drop in business last year, it has been actively taking advantage of new opportunities as a result of market changes during the pandemic.
“This funding has enabled the business to expand in Yorkshire and as a result, it is now seeking to establish itself on the national stage.”
