Sheffield cafe chain expands with launch of artisan bakery

A South Yorkshire cafe chain has announced the launch of its newest site.

Marmadukes is set to open its third Sheffield outlet tomorrow (June 23) following delays caused by the pandemic.

Husband and wife team Tim and Clare Nye initially secured the new Ecclesall Road premises in 2020 with the support of Law firm Banner Jones’ commercial team.

Formerly a sorting office, the site will house an artisan bakery and food shop with a zero waste section and an oat milk dispensary.

A pastry kitchen downstairs with a separate entrance has also been fitted where the team will make bespoke celebration cakes for customers, and a driveway area to the side will enable the business to host barbecues.

With Marmadukes cafes also situated on Cambridge Street and Norfolk Row, the new premises marks the expansion of the brand.
