The Secret Event Service leading woman reaches finals of two Leadership Awards
Kate Hutchinson, the 28 year old Founder and Managing Director of The Secret Event Service has reached the finals of the Northern Business Leadership Awards, which celebrate individuals who are role models for their teams, and organisations who have raised the bar for their competitors, across the North.
The leader of Yorkshire based Events Agency has been shortlisted to receive two awards, the ’Young Leader Award ’and ‘Emerging Entrepreneur Leader Award’; recognising Kate’s inspiring business leadership and dedication to economic growth in the north, via corporate events.
The shortlist is made up of those who showed the qualities of resilience, innovation, and strong communication - in the face of a global pandemic. The last 12 months have been incredibly turbulent, with many brilliant businesses sadly having to close their doors or let talented staff go.
By expanding their services, quickly adapting to a digital-first approach and catering to the new online world of events, Kate’s amazing leadership secured her teams with jobs, created additional permanent roles, and provided work for a network of dedicated freelancers.
Kate commented “It is an unbelievable honour to have been nominated, even more so, to reach the finals! It’s been such a challenging year for our sector and the wider business community. My team and I harnessed our creativity and agility to adapt quickly and serve our clients, existing and new. We are grateful to them all for their trust in us and it’s fantastic to see all that hard work pay off, not only in maintaining a growing business, but by being recognised in these prestigious awards.”
The award winners will be announced on 29 September at The Midland, Manchester.
