Former Watford laundry factory transformed into £85m mixed-use development

A historic industrial site north of London has been transformed into a multi-million pound mixed-use scheme.

Housebuilder Weston Homes has launched The Laundry Works in Watford, an £85m residential-led development on the site of the old Watford Laundry Factory.

The 2.5 acre site was previously home to the Watford Launders & Cleaners, which was founded in 1907 by John Ross.

Comprising eight apartment buildings, The Laundry Works development will provide 248 new one, two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses, set within a tree-lined boulevard with landscaped gardens throughout.
