Newcastle 'super club' launches recruitment drive to create 80 jobs ahead of summer opening
A North East ‘super club’ has announced that it is creating up to 80 new jobs as it launches a recruitment drive.
The Lofts, based in Newcastle, is launching the drive this week ahead of its opening at the end of August.
The new club, which was announced earlier this year, will have capacity for 1,500 guests and comes after more than a year of closures for nightlife venues.
At its launch on August 27, The Lofts will host international DJ Pete Tong and DJ collective Horse Meat Disco, along with a host of other DJs including Charlie Hedges, Mighty Mouse and Natasha Kitty Katt.
Marty Smith, director of The Lofts, commented: “We’re looking for enthusiastic, hard working team members to join us on this incredibly exciting journey.
“Across the venue we will be recruiting for up to 80 positions, so anyone who thinks they may fit the bill should register their interest as soon as possible as applications are already pouring in!”
Rob Seaman, co-founder, said of The Lofts: “Our aim is to build on the excellent reputation Newcastle already has and raise its profile still further.
“We will have something to offer everyone at The Lofts and look forward to welcoming music fans not just from the local area but from throughout the UK.”
