KOMI Group expands HQ and reports record turnover of £2m
KOMI Group – the Ancoats-based social media, marketing, and licensing company – has doubled its office space at Beehive Mill after taking an additional 1,300 sqft on a six year lease. The firm moved its operations to the site on Jersey Street in early 2020.
It has also announced that it achieved £2m turnover for the first time in the past year and that it will grow its headcount to 50 by September.
In the past two weeks it has made five new appointments in the social division’s ‘originals’ team which focuses on creating brand new content in-house. Adam Reynolds has been appointed business development manager; Ellie Decourcey is a new account executive; Anna Guest joins as a production coordinator; whilst Chloe Grantham and Holly Carrington are the newest assistant producers. Over the coming months it will also be hiring an editorial lead for Ark – its licensing division; as well as social media, junior writer, social media video, BDM, and agency sales manager roles.
Andrew Trotman – managing director – added: “The past 18 months has been a period like no other, but the whole team has remained steadfastly focussed on delivering for our clients and communities. People’s love for, and consumption of, social media has grown since the pandemic began so we have worked hard to deliver engaging, relevant, and truthful content. That has really resonated with the brands we work with and our followers.
Andrew added: “KOMI Group’s growth - both physically with our office space and team numbers as well as the sharp rise in our community numbers and views – is testament to that unwavering approach. The next few months will be another exciting period as we continue to maximise and build on what we’ve achieved so far.”
