London florist puts down roots in expanded flagship store and flower school

A London florist has opened a new expanded flagship store as it aims to grow its business with its new flower school.

Lavender Green Flowers, which previously operated from a Victorian greenhouse on Fulham Road, has moved to 239 King’s Road, a new 1,700 sq ft home.

The company said the the new premises offer greater prominence and a more spacious environment to accommodate its range of flowers, plants, homewares and its new flower school.

Since first opening five years ago, Lavender Green has established a loyal local following, has been involved in the Chelsea Flower Show, and has created bespoke arrangements for events including the Ascot and Epsom Downs races.

Operating in conjunction with its head office and studio in Windsor, the Lavender Green team work with a selection of British flower farms to deliver flower bouquets, arrangements and installations for the home and private parties, as well as for galleries, museums, and high-profile events.

Sue Barnes, creative director at Lavender Green, commented: “We are thrilled to have launched in our new, more expansive home on the King’s Road.

“This space allows us to deliver even more of what Lavender Green customers love, including our dedicated flower school, homewares and freshly served organic barista coffee, and we couldn’t think of a better flagship environment for our brand.

“With the Chelsea Flower Show and a huge floristry scene in this part of London, as well as the loyal following we have developed in this area over the past five years, we knew we wanted to re-commit to Chelsea, and are so pleased to have found this position on the King’s Road.”

Hannah Grievson, head of property at Sloane Stanley, which owns Lavender Green’s new outlet on King’s Road, added: “Lavender Green’s flagship makes a wonderful addition to the King’s Road, which already attracts a vibrant and affluent clientele with a passion for interiors, design and homewares.

“The launch of Lavender Green demonstrates our response to emerging trends, most notably in interior investment and uptake in more local consumption.

“We’re delighted that Lavender Green has chosen to expand their creative offering with us and feel confident the new store will be a success.”
