IoD launches search for Hertfordshire chair

The Institute of Directors (IoD) is seeking a new chair to become the voice of Hertfordshire directors.

The successful candidate will work alongside an active branch team to help directors recover and thrive as they emerge from the pandemic.

The voluntary position has a three-year term and is open to all members who live or work in the county.

The IoD creates connections, delivers world-class professional development and influences decision-makers at the highest levels. It has used its influence to secure vital support for directors, including financial assistance for wage bills and changes to insolvency rules.

Biplab Rakshi, IoD East of England chair, said: “Our new chair will represent Hertfordshire directors from all backgrounds and organisations. They will play a lead role in the delivery of insightful and relevant events that aid personal development and help members to build meaningful connections within this enterprising, vibrant and diverse business community.

“This is an exciting time for the IoD as we enter a new chapter in our long and esteemed history. We have a new value and member proposition which is true to our core belief that better directors build a better world.”

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record in board or equivalent roles, with established business interests and a strong network of contacts within Hertfordshire.
