£70m residential development unveiled at former ‘iconic’ record complex
A multi-million pound residential scheme has been unveiled at a regeneration project in West London.
Developer Weston Homes has launched The Venue, the £70.5m (GDV) bespoke collection of 181 new homes, part of The Old Vinyl Factory in Hayes in the London Borough of Hillingdon.
Reaching seven storeys high, The Venue provides 181 one, two and three bedroom apartments across three buildings, all with either a private balcony or terrace, access to a private podium garden and allocated parking. In addition, the development comprises 13,000 sq ft of retail space at ground floor level.
The Venue forms part of the 18-acre complex known as The Old Vinyl Factory, formerly owned by music company EMI which produced records for artists under His Master’s Voice (HMV) record label. Vinyls were produced for musicians including Frank Sinatra, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Queen, Pink Floyd and the entire album portfolio for The Beatles.
Suzanne Aplin, group sales & marketing director at Weston Homes, commented: “We are delighted to launch The Venue as the final residential phase of The Old Vinyl Factory. The iconic site has a rich musical history and has undergone a tremendous renaissance to bring stylish homes, amenities, and a new generation to Hayes.
“Our two show apartments at The Venue showcase the high-quality specification and design on offer in all of our homes, at prices ideal for first-time buyers, young professionals and local buyers wanting to get on the property ladder.
She added: “We are proud to work in partnership with Hillingdon Council and offer a selection of Discount Market Sale homes at The Venue to help those who are looking to stay in the local area with a 20 per cent saving off the cost of a new home.
“As part of a thoughtful regeneration masterplan, residents will have everything they could want on their doorstep, creating a vibrant new community for West London.”
