£70m residential development unveiled at former ‘iconic’ record complex

A multi-million pound residential scheme has been unveiled at a regeneration project in West London.

Developer Weston Homes has launched The Venue, the £70.5m (GDV) bespoke collection of 181 new homes, part of The Old Vinyl Factory in Hayes in the London Borough of Hillingdon.

Reaching seven storeys high, The Venue provides 181 one, two and three bedroom apartments across three buildings, all with either a private balcony or terrace, access to a private podium garden and allocated parking. In addition, the development comprises 13,000 sq ft of retail space at ground floor level.

The Venue forms part of the 18-acre complex known as The Old Vinyl Factory, formerly owned by music company EMI which produced records for artists under His Master’s Voice (HMV) record label. Vinyls were produced for musicians including Frank Sinatra, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Queen, Pink Floyd and the entire album portfolio for The Beatles.
